Finally catching up on the last week or two's reading! Lots of newness here, and always interesting to hear your takes on industry headlines, Galina — I haven't tried any FaceGym products, but I've been curious for AGES (and I can relate to not quite getting around to following QR Code-linked facial massage routines - see, too, French hairpin how-to guides! :)). The RMS powders sound really good, and I'm with you in knowing I need to resist reaching for my phone first thing (when I've managed to do that, the difference is so clear). Cheering you for your decision to unplug a little for August, been thinking similarly! XX

Thank you for reading Jen!!! I have tried some, but not all Facegym products, and found initial launches more interesting than say Hannibal Lector treatment mask that was a viral success. Not sure Facegym skincare has gained cult status, but I can be wrong. Their collaboration with Issamya French had me at hello though .)

It's interesting how QR codes are supposed to simplify things, yet we often just don't use them. Maybe it is a difference between generations, my daughter doesn't mind watching tutorial videos, while I probably am oversaturated, having seen too many over the years. All the more the reason for me to tech detox in August - each year I do it & end up feeling like a Zen buddha... for the effect to disappear a week or so after new school/work year resumes in September.

RMS Crystal Slipper collection is now available in the UK and I really think it will delight women because it really enhances our features & makes us feel happier in our skin

xx

Yes, I think it’s a generational thing as well – or actually laziness and my inability to prop my iPhone up by the bathroom sink ha ha! Remember the days when we would be unfolding teeny tiny skin care leaflets and following the directions?! Eve Lom comes to mind! Have a fabulous break! 🌞📖 😎🥗 xxxx

well, don’t prop your phone - get a phone case that attaches to the mirror and hey presto - hack learnt from my savvy teen .) I don’t do it though, as I then have to remove the smears the said case leaves on bathroom mirror - such a mum moment! Oh yes, I do - now need reading glasses to decipher those tiny instructions. Thank you - but tons to do still before the break Jen xx

I had one of those, but it came flying off (actually, I think that was on a window, eek, as suggested by someone I watched talking about doing that to get the best light! 😂🫠). I shall revisit (smears notwithstanding, they can be rubbed off with the toothpaste/soap splashes, #mummoment indeed!!!). You’ve got this (the break is in sight!!!) XXX
