M & S partners up with Sienna Miller for its Autumn fashion campaign
but is that the reason the quality is a compromise?
All the glossy press and newspapers rapturously & unanimously seem to praise the new pairing of British retail institution Marks & Spencers with the actress and style icon Sienna Miller for the Autumn’23 advertising campaign, so I dropped by the Oxford street store to check the collection out & satisfy my curiosity.
While the collection itself - coats, jeans, jumpers, trainers, bags, skirts & sweaters - is easy on the eye, it’s the quality of the materials that instantly put me off. I won’t criticise the jeans, but the sweaters and trousers are made from such cheap looking materials (which feel even worse when you touch them) that it instantly put me off - they won’t last long in your cupboard. The bags didn’t fair any better, so after barely ten minutes in-store I left.
